People & communities

Built on local relationships.

PSMG is about more than buying gold. Its success depends on relationships with miners, families, local representatives and communities across PNG.

Local relationships

What works in one province may not work in another.

PNG is geographically and culturally diverse. That is why PSMG is being developed with trusted local people who understand their communities, mining areas, transport routes and commercial realities.

Our approach

What we intend to build.

  • 01Local employmentWorking with people from the areas where we operate.
  • 02Skills and trainingDeveloping skills alongside the business.
  • 03Better mining practicesSupporting safer and cleaner gold recovery.
  • 04Community initiativesSupporting initiatives that matter locally.
  • 05Long-term participationStaying part of the areas we work in.

We will not make broad claims about community impact before we have measurable results. Real examples will be added here as the business develops.

Supported by PSMG

Pre-Loved PNG.

Useful pre-loved clothing, school books and other goods, collected and delivered to communities in PNG where they can be used again. Pre-Loved PNG keeps its own identity and develops independently; PSMG supports and promotes it.
